    Kumar anadan was born on 1943 in Valvettithurai, Jaffna. He was graduated in University of London. He obtained Bachelor of Laws degree in Sri Lanka. He was an Attorney at Law by profession.

     He was a holder of Guinness Worlds Records and he has many records. One of the famous records is Swimming the Palk strait from Sri Lanka to India and comes back within 51 hours, in the year 1971. These are some other records Non-Stop water treading for 80 hours at Chennai, Standing with one leg for 33 hours, Non-Stop dancing, Ball punching for 136 hours, etc. So, people were called him as “Aalikumaran Anaden”.

     Once he met with a motor vehicle and hospitalized for 6 months. He died on 6 August 1984 while he attempting to swim the English Channel during collapse.
